Useful Information for Delegates

Air Travel

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the nearest airport, about 150 km from the Banff Centre.

Not all locations offer direct flights to YYC, so you may need to connect via the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or Toronto's Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

For ground transportation options, please see below under “Ground transportation to and from the Banff Centre.”

Ground Transportation to the Banff Centre

For travel between the Calgary International Airport and the Banff Centre, we recommend either taking a shuttle or a private car service, described below. Rental cars are also available.

The first shuttle option is Banff Airporter. They offer door-to-door shuttle service, which means there may be a few stops before arriving at the Banff Centre. Also please note that these buses do not have washrooms, and the ride is roughly one hour and forty-five minutes.

The second shuttle option is Brewster Express. These shuttles have washrooms, and claim to have wifi (although this is not the case on all buses). There is a transfer required in downtown Banff to a van which then stops at several local hotels, including the Banff Centre.

Banff Sedan offers a private car service to and from the Calgary Airport. It is more expensive than either shuttle option, but more convenient as there are no transfers or other stops. This is a good option for small groups (3-7 people) arriving in Calgary around the same time.

Please note that your name, flight details (airline, flight number, destination and arrival/departure time) may be required, as well as a contact phone number and email address.
