Contemporary Accounting Research (CAR) has established a worldwide reputation for encouraging diverse and innovative research across the broad spectrum of roles that accounting plays in markets, organizations, and society.
CAR Conference will celebrate this diversity and innovation. We welcome rigorous and insightful research on any accounting topic, from history to emerging issues. This year’s conference will be held in Banff, one of the most scenic cities in North America.

Submission ProcessSubmissions to the conference are submissions to CAR, and must follow CAR’s submission processes. When submitting to the online system, choose article type “2018 CAR Conference.” Submission fees for conference papers, payable by VISA or MasterCard, are the same as submission fees for regular CAR submissions. Submission fees are nonrefundable.
Submissions to the CAR conference are accepted in English only.

Submit a Paper Pay Submission Fee
Papers not accepted for the conference and submissions that come in after the deadline will be treated as regular CAR submissions. Papers accepted for the conference are generally published in CAR; however, the ultimate disposition of each manuscript will be determined through the journal’s normal review process. Authors will be notified of theinitial decision regarding their conference submission by early August 2018.
