CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNTING RESEARCH (CAR)
The premier research journal of the CAAA, CAR reflects the worldwide intellectual diversity in accounting research. Ranked on the FT 50 list of top business journals (FT50) and ranked second on Google Scholar's list of top accounting journals (Google Scholar), CAR retained its A* rating on the Australian Business Deans Council Journal Quality List in 2019 (ABDC). CAR's 2024 Journal Impact Factor is 3.8, and its 2020 CiteScore is 4.30.
CAR is published four times per year, in March, June, September, and December. The CAAA has a publishing partnership with Wiley Periodicals Inc., a global leader in academic publishing. Our two journals, Contemporary Accounting Research and Accounting Perspectives, have been published by Wiley since 2010.

Inside, you’ll see a folder titled CAAA Member Documents / Documents des membres de l’ACPC, which contains a guide called Access to Wiley Journals with step‑by‑step login details.
CAAA members can now access print subscriptions for the entire 2026 volumes of Contemporary Accounting Research (CAR) and Accounting Perspectives (AP) at a significantly reduced rate through Member Direct Print on Demand (MD POD). Please note that this special rate is available only for full-volume subscriptions—single issues are still available at the regular e-only price and are not eligible for the discount.
