2027 Accounting Perspectives Emerging Scholars Symposium

This is a call to emerging scholars (i.e., doctoral students and faculty who have graduated within the past three years) for submissions to the 2027 Accounting Perspectives Emerging Scholars Symposium. The objective of the Symposium is to showcase emerging scholars and provide them with an opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from experts. We welcome research on any accounting topic, including early-stage papers.

Accounting Perspectives (AP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides new insights in Canadian accounting research, policy, and education. The journal publishes literature reviews, applied research, commentaries, educational articles, and instructional cases that speak from or speak to the Canadian accounting community.

Papers submitted to the Symposium will undergo review by members of the AP editorial team, and constructive comments will be provided. Papers selected for the Symposium will be presented by the emerging scholar and discussed by an expert. Submissions are accepted in both French and English.

Submission process: Author(s) can submit their paper by email to [email protected] with the subject line “2027 Accounting Perspectives Emerging Scholars Symposium”. Papers must not exceed 50 pages. Please note that articles must be written in an accessible style suitable for AP’s diverse audience. Technical terms, methodologies, and results should be clearly defined and discussed.

The submission deadline is October 16, 2026.

Authors will be notified of selection decisions by December 15, 2026.
