Afi

How can we foster impact for accounting scholars?

You are invited to the launch of ‘Accounting for Impact’ (AFI) – a network that fosters engagement and impact for accounting scholars and aims to inspire academics of all levels of experience and areas of expertise to reach outside the academic ivory tower to make a positive impact and for a better society.

This interactive event will provide opportunities to learn the tools to turn research into action; showcase examples of impactful projects; and feature guest speaker Stephanie Bertels from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, who will share inspiring examples from her experience of making an impact as a scholar and as the Founder and Executive Director of the Embedding Project. The session will also provide interactive space for Q&A about engagement and impact

  • When? Tuesday March 29 at 2:30 pm EST (7:30 pm UTC) – we realize that the time might not be ideal for everyone (sorry!), but it will be worth it! The event will be recorded in any case.
  • Where? Via Zoom – register here

Please join and follow AFI on social media – on Twitter (follow), LinkedIn (follow) and Facebook (join group – feel free to request and invite your colleagues/friends!).

We look forward to seeing you at the launch event and welcoming you to the AFI community!
