We have a volunteer role for all personality types. Select the one that fits you best!
THE SILENT TYPE
You’d rather stay out of the limelight, and prefer giving your comments in written than spoken form. You are available to read and offer constructive recommendations on two conference papers between January 15 and March 1. You’re eager to shape the content and direction of the conference sessions.
Email "REVIEWER" to Richard Fontaine, suggesting your preferred areas of interest/expertise
You have things to say, and you want to listen. You want to challenge presenters and help them rise to the occasion. You have time to study one to two papers in detail and create a constructive framework of questions that will engage an audience and help authors improve their paper. You can make a commitment to attend the conference and be present for at least one session.
Email "DISCUSSANT" to Richard Fontaine, suggesting your preferred subject
You’re committed to giving everyone a fair hearing. You’re a multi-tasker who can guide a discussion, think on your feet, rein in the garrulous, and encourage the timid, all while watching the clock and keeping everyone on task. You’re a leader who knows just how to give everyone their moment. You can make a commitment to attend the conference and be present for at least one session.
Email "MODERATOR" to Richard Fontaine
The success of the CAAA conference depends on committed participation from as many of you as possible. We anticipate a great turnout at this year’s event in Montreal. Participating in a volunteer role gives you a more rewarding experience, and makes a better conference for us all.
