Air Travel

Québec City's Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is the nearest airport, about 20 km from the Château Frontenac.

Not all locations offer direct flights to YQB, so you may need to connect either via Toronto's Pearson International Airport (YYZ), or Montréal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Please note that there is construction scheduled for fall 2017 at Pearson, so you may wish to connect via Montréal if possible.

Air Canada Offer

If you are flying with Air Canada, please use the booking code provided with your confirmation email.

Please note, this offer also applies to codeshare flights.

Ground Transportation to the Château Frontenac

For travel between Québec City's Jean Lesage International Airport and the Château Frontenac, we recommend either taking a shuttle or a private car service, described below. Rental cars & taxi services are also available.

Limousine A1 offers an airport shuttle service for guests of the Château Frontenac. Reservations can be made online. They also have private cars available. Please contact res@limousinequebec.com for details and to make reservations.

Please note that your name, flight details (airline, flight number, destination and arrival/departure time) may be required, as well as a contact phone number and email address.

 

Conference Hotel

Please use the link provided in your confirmation of registration e-mail to receive the CAR conference group rate when booking at the Château Frontenac.

Parking is $34 CAD per day for guests staying at the hotel, and $36 CAD per day otherwise.

Travel to Canada

If you are travelling from outside Canada, please note that new entry requirements are now in effect. Unless you are a U.S. citizen, you are expected to have either an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visitor visa to enter Canada.

The welcome reception on Thursday evening will have canapés, but is not a full meal. If you would like to have dinner before or after the reception, please see the list of local restaurants recommended by the Château Frontenac. You may wish to make reservations.
