CAAA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026:
POWWOW TRAIL SONG & DANCE PERFORMANCE

This professional Powwow presentation offers a unique opportunity to experience Powwow culture in a respectful, educational environment that honors traditional protocols. Guided by our Elder Advisor, Powwow Emcee, and Cultural Program Lead, the presentation brings authentic, lived knowledge to the stage.

The experience begins with an opening prayer by a Respected Elder, followed by a Grand Entry led by the Powwow Emcee and accompanied by a live drum group and dancers. The presentation then moves into carefully curated dance demonstrations, where the Emcee shares traditional teachings to explain the rich history, meaning, and background behind each style of dance and song. It is a way to continue practicing our sacred way of life while walking in two worlds.
