CAAA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2014
Delta Edmonton South Hotel & Conference Centre
Thursday, May 29–Sunday, June 1, 2014
Beyond Financial Statements
Program (Subject to change, April 23, 2014)
In today’s business environment, the goal for corporations is long-term sustainable growth rather than short-term profits. Corporations need to determine how resources can be best utilized to create value. Traditional financial reporting does not capture the link between financial results, sustainability initiatives and the value created by such initiatives.
Stakeholders are increasingly demanding disclosure of a corporation’s sustainability and ethical practices. The accounting profession is going beyond financial statements and integrated reporting is gaining momentum. Accounting education also has the challenge of integrating new competencies and professional skills into the accounting curriculum.
We invite you to join your colleagues from around the world for the 2014 Annual Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) Conference to discuss how corporate reporting extends beyond financial statements and other relevant topics to the accounting profession. The conference will be held in Edmonton from May 29 to June 1, 2014.
If you would like to participate as an exhibitor and/or a sponsor at the 2014 CAAA Annual Conference to be held in Edmonton on May 29 to June 1, please contact the CAAA Head Office by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 416-486-5361.
